About Me

My name is Danika Mills

I am a therapist and mom of three who supports health in all stages. I use interventions informed by intersectional feminism, anti-racist frameworks, reproductive justice, and a trauma-informed lens. With over 15 years of experience in healthcare, including specialties in women's health and health tech, I bring a unique blend of expertise to help you navigate life's challenges and opportunities. As a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Case Manager, and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, I believe in a holistic approach to healing, one that encompasses both mind and body. While I specialize in treating women, I am supportive and welcoming to all genders.

I am also the founder of Mission Catalyst Consulting LLC, a firm that helps nonprofits and health tech companies navigate the changing landscape of healthcare delivery and participate in value-based care via fractional talent and strategic planning.

Starting Therapy

Research highlights the significance of the therapist-client relationship in determining the success of treatment. Take a moment to reflect on whether we might be a good match. It's perfectly alright if we're not, or if you'd like an introductory session to make that decision. You deserve care that feels right from the very beginning.

In our first session together, my primary goal is to establish a comfortable and trusting environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported. We'll start with introductions and discuss any specific concerns or goals you have and move into how and what a treatment path could look like, along with the next steps.

I employ solution-focused and strengths-based techniques, ensuring our sessions focus on fostering your innate strengths for actionable solutions. I often use humor as a tool for frustration tolerance or self-regulation. Together, we'll nurture a space of growth, self-discovery, and healing, where you'll feel supported and understood at every turn.

Are you a NC LCSWA who needs Clinical Supervision? 

I currently have openings for individual and group supervision for NC LCSWAs. If supervision fees are not covered by your employer, I offer a sliding scale. Contact me directly for rates using this form.
